Palliative Care Support Fund Donation

The Palliative Care Support fund covers costs for our customers when they may not be able to afford or have access to the things a lot of people may consider as basic or essential.

When people ask why we do what we do here at Bluebird Care, today is a perfect example of why...

We had Lorraine visit the office, her late husband Ian, was cared for by our Palliative Care Team in South Tyneside. She brought in a thank you card along with an extremely generous donation. Lorraine kindly donated £500 which was raised from donations taken at Ian’s funeral to our Palliative Care Support fund.

This is truly humbling and greatly appreciate and from everyone at the Bluebird Team we would like to thank you.

The reason she took the time out to come to the office to thank the team, was down to the exceptional care our Team of Bluebird’s provided for her late husband, during the last few weeks of his life. She could not have been more grateful, for the care, attention and compassion that staff had shown towards herself, her family and most importantly Ian. 

Palliative Care Support Fund

The Palliative Care Support fund is for Palliative Care customers who unfortunately might not have the essentials they need because of living alone or not having anyone closely involved in their care. This fund can covers costs for our customers when they may not be able to afford or have access to the things we all need the most, the things a lot of people may consider as basic or essential such as bedding, towels, toiletries and cleaning equipment. These kits are invaluable to some of our customers.

We cannot thank Lorraine, her family and friends enough for the donation it will go so far in helping those in the community who need it most.
