Bluebird Care Customer's & Care Assistants Enjoy Fun Day at Brighton!

We love treating our Customer's to special days out here at Bluebird Care and this September we took 6 of our Customer's and 6 of our Care Assistants on a fun day out to Brighton Pier. 

Back in July this year we ran a special competiton offering 6 of our Customers with their Care Assistant a chance to win an all expenses paid, fun day trip to Brighton Beach.  

Each Customer with their Care Assistant had to write a short poem or story about why they should go to the beach and the winners would be treated to a tour of the beautiful Royal Pavilion palace, a traditional fish and chips lunch at the well know Harry Ramsden's, finishing the day off with the famous Brighton ice cream and a walk along the pier.  
 
We recieved lots of truly touching and heart felt entries from customers and Care Assistants alike, showcasing their love, respect and appreciation of one another and it was very difficult to pick our winners! BIG thank you to all our Customers and Care Assistants who wrote us a poem - we would have loved to let all the enteries win if we could have! 

Not only was a fantastic time had by all but the sun actually shone on the winners all day long! Director of Bluebird Care (Wandsworth, Clapham & Streatham), Karina Corden said: “It was so rewarding to do this for our Customers and Care Assistants, it was a real ‘family’ day out. The weather was sunny and warm so they were able to enjoy a traditional day out at the beach. Its sure to be remembered for a long time! “
 

Bluebird Care Customers and Care Assistants enjoying the traditional fish and chips lunch at Brighton’s Harry Ramsdens. Putney based charity, Regenerate-RISE kindly offered their minibus to transport everyone on the day.  Karina says, “It’s so lovely to be able to work with and support essential community partners such as Regenerate-RISE who do so much work tackling loneliness and isolation in the elderly.”
