The Carers Partnership Wandsworth

A Carer - Someone who provides support to family or friends who could not manage without this help. This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems.  All the care they give is unpaid.  Carers are at heart of Carers Partnership Wandsworth.

Advice, Advocacy, Respite & Dementia Services

Bluebird Care, Wandsworth Carers' Centre and Alzheimer's Society have joined forces to create the Carers' Partnership Wandsworth.  Caring for a family member with health problems is an unpaid role that often goes unrecognised.  Together, we aim to support these unsung heroes with advice, respite and advocacy.

Wandsworth Carers’ Centre is the lead provider of Carers Partnership Wandsworth providing Information, Advice and Advocacy, Peer Support and Companionship.

The Alzheimer’s Society provide specialist dementia support services within Carers Partnership Wandsworth, including the delivery of two Dementia Cafes.

Bluebird Care provide formal respite for Carers.

Respite Care Service

We provide a respite care service free of charge to eligible Carers to enable them to take short breaks away from their caring role.  Carers who are eligible can access up to a maximum of 52 hours of respite care in a nine month period.

The service is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days per week and referrals are accepted between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.
