Our Bluebird Care Bingo Bonanza, a huge success!

With a special appearance from the honourable Mayor of Wandsworth Councilor Jim Madden and a wonderful array of entertainment from the team at Bluebird Care, our very first Bingo Bonanza was a huge hit amongst our customers and staff!
We know that many elderly members of our community go without any form of interaction and are completely alone with nobody to talk to for weeks on end. We want to eradicate the loneliness and spread the message that every visit counts and every person counts. It doesn't matter if you've reached the golden age, you still want to have fun and do things that you enjoyed when you were younger, which your age, body and mind now allow. And that's where we step in!
Our incentive to hold a Bingo Bonanza was to bring together our customers who could spend a day engaging with like minded people. Entertainment was arranged with games of Bingo with prizes for the winners and a wonderful display of talent through our members of staff who sang golden classics such as "Cae Sara Sara" and "How much is that Puppy in the window" which resulted in everybody joining in the sing-a-long! Of course the day could not have been complete without the beautifully home-made sandwiches and cookies made by staff at Bluebird Care, all spread out and served for lunch. A special appearance from the Mayor of Wandsworth, honourable Jim Madden, was the icing on the cake and his speech was a really wonderful display of acknowledgment for our services in the community.

The Bingo Bonanza was held on 27 July at the PLATT Day Care Centre which was generously donated to us for the day by MBE Mo Smith. Over the past few years Bluebird Care has developed a wonderful relationship with Mo, and we sincerely appreciate all that she has done for us! Thank you from everyone here at Bluebird Care....
