Let's raise awareness for Mental Health Awareness Week.

Let's raise awareness for Mental Health Awareness Week.

The 10th-16th May is Mental Health Awareness Week. Mental Health Awareness Week is an opportunity for people to talk about all aspects of mental health, with a focus on providing help and advice.

This year, Mental Health Awareness Week specifically focuses on the benefits of nature on mental health. The theme was chosen because being in nature is known to be an effective way of tackling mental health problems and protecting our wellbeing, especially during the pandemic.

Spending time in green space or bringing nature into your everyday life can benefit both your mental and physical wellbeing.

For example, doing things like growing food or flowers, exercising outdoors or being around animals can have lots of positive effects. These activities can:

  •  Improve your mood
  •  Reduce feelings of stress or anger
  •  Help you take time out and feel more relaxed
  •  Improve your physical health
  • Improve your confidence and self-esteem
  •  Help you be more active
  •  Help you make new connection

Over this past year especially, millions of us have experienced a mental health problem, or seen a loved one struggle. With Covid-19 restricting us from being able to see our loved ones and check in on them, Bluebird Care’s companionship and home care service will give you peace of mind that your family member is being looked after with the highest quality of care and respect.

Here at Bluebird Care, we can support you or your loved ones from the comfort of your own home with mental health through:
