Caring for a child or young person with physical or learning disability can be challenging. Even the most experienced parents and carers will sometimes need someone to turn to for support.

Bluebird Care offer support when it is needed. By working together with families, children and young people in this way, we can provide the much needed respite to those on the front line every day.

Families dictate the level of contact that suits them. Our keyworkers and support staff can then offer tailored, long-term support. It's all about what works for the individual family.

Preparing for what’s ahead

With the right support, disabled young people can build the confidence and independence they need to be leaders of their own lives.

For some young people with more complex needs, it's about celebrating young people to reach their full

potential, whatever that may be. Bluebird Care will be by their side for the journey ahead.

Planning ahead for the future

It all begins with a plan - one based on what the young individuals want as well as what they need. That way, each young person has a pathway plan that's theirs.

We provide a keyworker for ongoing support and work with a young person and a small team of staff to ensure continuity.

We communicate with the individual in their desired manner to ensure young people's opinions and ideas get heard. And if they need us, we'll be there with them every step of the way.

Being positive about the possibilities

Building confidence and independence starts with life skills. It's about hanging out with friends and making new ones. It's about being part of communities and doing activities. And it's practical things too: budgeting; shopping; getting around.
