Social, emotional and physical support

Coping with a child who has a long-term illness or a physical or learning disability can be a life-changing experience. And parents who are dealing with this, day in and day, out can find life a real challenge.

Bluebird Care’s children’s services will provide a wide range of care and support for children and young people within their own homes. This care is built around the needs, routines and aspirations of the child or young person and their family.

We will provide care and support to enable children and young people to live the life that matters to them, regardless of any barriers that they face. Bluebird Care also helps to encourage the well-being of the child or young person, as well as their family within the home.

The management of Bluebird Care Children’s services is registered with the Care Quality Commission and is recognised and registered with Leicester City Council

We are working closely with Leicester City Council and comply with the stringent protocols set out by them to ensure our service is safe, effective responsive and accountable.

Bluebird Care Children’s service aims to:

• provide care and support for the social, emotional and physical needs of children and young people and encourage participation in activities of their choice
• develop good working relationships with children and young people and their families to support their well-being.
• Tailor-make support plans for individuals.
• Provide care and hygiene support as well as community based support

The Children's Service at Bluebird Care is committed to supporting disabled children, young people and their families to make sure that they have the same opportunity and experience as other children and young people. 

Our Service provides support and services across a wide variety of needs and has a range of differently skilled and qualified staff who can respond to a diverse array of need.
