On Friday 20th October, we wore it pink in honour of breast cancer awareness. Everyone, including our mascots Rupert and Ruby, dressed up for the occasion.

Breast Cancer Awareness month is a very special month to all of us at Bluebird Care Newcastle and South Tyneside. Vicki, our trainer here at Bluebird Care, has shared her story about her lovely mam.

“This is my Mum, who has kicked Breast cancer's butt twice, in two years. She is now three years cancer free. She is wearing (her hair) pink ready for Friday......

Yes, she is the person responsible for my craziness!”

Its important that we are aware of the people around us and to be there for the people that have suffered from breast cancer or have relatives/friends with breast cancer. It’s a very hard time and showing that little bit of support can go a long way.

We all donated and ended up raising £104, reaching our target of £100!

Thank you to everyone who donated and wore it pink!
