Jesmond Dene is a day out for anyone, its suited to both the younger and older generation.

Jesmond Dene is a haven of nature, walking routes, parks and more, it has a wide range of activities for all to join in on. Not only is it a historical, but it has many historical links to the 19th century.

The paths, bridges and views are something that brings people continuously back to Jesmond Dene, from the top of Jesmond dene, the work has an amazing view over the waterfall, and as you make your way down you will see it up close on the iconic bridge that is the heart of Jesmond Dene.

The Dene is home to Pets Corner. The popular attraction opened in the 1960s and continues to delight families with young children. Next door you will find the Visitor Centre which includes a gift shop, café, classroom, toilets, and meetings space. There is a play area next to Pets Corner, designed and built as part of the Ouseburn Parks Lottery Project in 2011.
