Our Franchise History
Bluebird Care Mid Staffs was first opened in 2007 by Susan Milakovic. Sue was the first ever Bluebird Care franchise owner in the UK.
Susan Milakovic was very impressed with the franchise business model and the support she would be given as a franchisee, more importantly she was very excited to be able to offer high quality care to her local area, Sue later went on to purchase two other Bluebird Care franchises. Sue made the difficult decision to retire in November 2020 after 13 years of wonderful service to Bluebird Care Mid Staffs, Bluebird care Stafford and Bluebird Care South Staffs. Sue taught the senior managers of the current management team here at Bluebird Care Mid Staffs all of her strengths, passions and skills that have made us all who we are today.
Allen Vanderwyk-Coyne purchased Bluebird Care Mid Staffs in November 2020. Allen was the first Care Worker employed by Sue in 2007. Allen then went on to hold every position within the company, Sue saw a lot of potential and passion in Allen and promoted Allen to 'Managing Director' before her retirement.
Bluebird Care Mid Staffs is one of the longest serving Domiciliary providers in the Staffs area and we are very much looking forward to our 17-year anniversary in 2024.
I am extremely proud and grateful for the opportunity Sue has given me. I am very excited and humbled to now own Bluebird Care Mid Staffs. I have worked in care for more than 30 years and I am now in a position that I can use my experience and knowledge to make a difference. I want to ensure my customers and employees are at the forefront of everything I do within the business. My goal is to deliver a premium, person-centered, home care service of the highest quality
