On Friday 8th December we organised a Xmas party for our customers in St. George’s Church Hall in Bickley. The event was open to all our customers, plus a relative or advocate, as well as even some ex-customers!

Entertainment on the day included a choir from Bickley Primary School who turned up in force to sing a dozen Xmas songs! Georgia, from the
Care Activities & Entertainment Agency was also performing live, singing songs from the 50’s & 60’s as well as everyone’s favourite Xmas numbers.

We were also very honoured to welcome the Mayor of Bromley Councillor Cathy Bance, who came along to enjoy a mince pie with some of Bromley's Senior Citizens.

The final act of the afternoon was the Bluebird Care Bromley Xmas Choir (about which probably the less said the better *ahem*) performing “Rocking around the Xmas Tree”… to an imaginary soundtrack.

90 table places were laid in preparation! By far the best attendance of any event we’ve put on to date. Tables were laden with goodies from M&S’s Food-to-Order service: quartered sandwiches of all varieties and cakes tiers of mini dessert bites.

Bluebird Care waiters and waitresses were on hand serving, tea, coffee, juice and even Prosecco and Mulled Wine for those feeling adventurous. There was singing and dancing and much Xmas cheer in the air!

We were humbled that so many of our customers braved the cold to come and celebrate with us. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all of them, as well as those family members who gave up a valuable Friday afternoon in the run-up to Xmas to enable them to be a part of it.

We hope to see many of you again at our next function in the Spring of 2018. Please see some pics from the day below.
