Sheree Jenman

Owner

Sheree brings a wealth of professional management expertise to Bluebird Care. Prior to owning Bluebird Care Leeds North, Sheree was a Quality Manager with the Bluebird Care Franchise Support Centre, providing advice and support to around forty Bluebird Care franchises in the North and East Midlands region.
 
Bringing with her, 18 year's experience in the health and social care sector in a variety of roles, Sheree initially worked as a front-line Support Worker, Registered Manager and then Senior Manager of multiple services. She worked as a Quality Assurance Manager for a large Yorkshire based Housing Association and then started her journey with Bluebird Care working for the Franchise Support Centre before investing in her own Bluebird Care franchise in early 2019.
 
A career in the social care sector has given Sheree the opportunity to lead a range of services including domiciliary care, care homes, extra care, supported living and day services and has experience of working with older people, people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, drug and alcohol misuse, homelessness, chaotic lifestyles and children and families. 

Throughout her career, Sheree gained vital knowledge of the care industry and understands what excellent care looks like and more importantly, the impact that poor care has on the people who receive it.

Sophie Lowndes

Registered Care Manager

My name is Sophie and I'm the Care Manager at Bluebird Care Leeds North. I'm honoured to supported people in my home town of Leeds. I started at Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant in 2012 and absolutely loved it. I was promoted to Support Supervisor in 2014 and further promoted to Care Supervisor in 2015. In April 2018 I became the Care Manager. My role is to operationally manage the business, this involves delivering our business plan, supporting my colleagues to provide excellence in care and ensuring we exceed the expectations set out by our regulator, the Care Quality Commission.

I'm so passionate about this company and feel that my experience working my way up the ladder has helped me greatly, in my role as Care Manager. I understand what's needed at every level of this business to make it a success. 
 
As you'll see from my colleague’s profiles, we are a team who have progressed within Bluebird Care. This speaks volumes about our passion for the business. Continued professional development is important to me and my team. Aoife Hawkesworth

Care Recruiter

My name is Aoife (pronounced - eefa) and I’m the Care Recruiter at Bluebird Care Leeds North.

My main role within Bluebird Care is to recruit the best Care Assistants to our amazing team and to help our business grow, so we can provide even more support to the people in our community.

In addition to attracting and recruiting new starters, I’m also here to support them through the onboarding process. I always make sure our new colleagues feel supported in their first few days, weeks and months of starting with us. Starting a new job can be daunting but I’m here to make that process as easy and comfortable as possible!

I have worked as a care assistant for the past 5 years in a variety of different environments such as hospitals, a GP surgery and within other homecare services.

I have also completed my Level 3 in Health and Social Care. My previous experience helps me to recruit the best care talent, to support our fabulous customers and team.

I live locally in Leeds and feel proud to be part of such a supportive and successful team. We take pride in delivering excellence in care and always seek to go above and beyond for our local community.

Zoe Howard

Customer Relations Manager

My name is Zoe and I’m the Customer Relations Manager at Bluebird Care Leeds North. I have completed my Level 3 extended diploma in health and social care, which is where my care journey began back in 2016. After caring for my Grandma at the end of her life and seeing the inspirational work of other health carers, this encouraged me to pursue a career to care for others in a kind and compassionate way.

 

I joined Bluebird Care as a Healthcare Assistant in 2016, during this time I gained a lot of skills and loved seeing the positive impact that home care made on people’s day to day lives. I have worked as a Team Leader in the Insurance industry the past few years which has helped me gain key office and organisation experience, however I have really missed the care environment in this time which has brought me back to Bluebird Care, in a role where I can combine both sets of skills.

 

In my role, I assist people who are enquiring about home care for themselves or others and help people find the right care solutions to help them live well at home. Once a new customer decides to start receiving support from us, I work with them to create a carefully constructed personalised care plan. For the first 3 months, I work closely will all new customers and liaise with our care team to ensure that the best possible care plan is in place, making adjustments where needed. I’m there to make sure our customers start their care journey with us positively and they stay in control of their own lives, receiving care from Care Assistants they are well matched with. It’s important to me that our customers have a care plan that works just right for them and they are comfortable and happy with the care they are receiving. I love working for Bluebird Care and I’m proud to be part of a company who are continuously improving and are an excellent quality care provider.

I currently have a family member who receives support through Bluebird Care. This has really reassured the family knowing he is receiving the help and support he needs from his friendly regular carers. Given my own personal experience, I would definitely recommend Bluebird Care to others.

In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy going on long walks in the Yorkshire dales with my boyfriend and our sausage dog, Richmond.

Claire Maybury

Care Coordinator

My name is Claire and my role is to organise our customer’s visits according to their preferences and plan our Care Assistants work. I have worked at Bluebird Care for over 11 years and still love coming to work every day. I know our customers and team well and really enjoy the challenges every new day brings. 

My work is key to the smooth day to day running of the business and the delivery of reliable, safe and consistent care. We never ever miss a single visit and I make this my absolute priority.  I enjoy speaking to lots of different people and I find helping people really rewarding.  I love making a difference every day to the quality of people's lives. I live locally in Leeds and am proud to support the community of Leeds.

Each member of our team shares our business values and ethics and has their own unique personality, interests and hobbies. We take care to match our customers with professional carers they will enjoy the company of, this helps to create good conversation and positive relationships. We ask our customers what they are looking for in their carers during the set up process of our service and take care to match our customers with people well suited to them.
