Meet the team

Ferne Heselden

Branch Manager

Ferne joined Bluebird Care in 2014 starting out as a Care Assistant. She quickly picked up her skills and knowledge in the care sector. Ferne took some time out to travel the world (travelling is one of her passions!) and returned earlier in 2017 to become the Care Coordinator for the Maidenhead, Windsor & Bracknell team.

In 2018 Ferne became Branch Manager for Windsor, Maidenhead and Bracknell team. Ferne is very passionate about enabling families to ensure that their loved ones are cared for in a dignified way with empathy and respect.

One thing intresting to know about Ferne is when she was travelliing in Thailand she became an advanced scuba driver. Ferne loves to travel as much as she can, and In her spare time, Ferne enjoys walking her dog and spending time with her friends and family.

Rosalind Taylor

Care Coordinator

Rosalind has been working in the care sector since 2012 when she joined the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Berkshire. Rosalind worked there for 7 years and joined Bluebird Care in 2018.

What Rosalind loves most about being in care is her passion for looking after people. She wanted to join care because of her grandma, she used to help look after her when she was unwell and she was Rosalind's favourite person. These events helped her realise that she wanted to take care of people and show them the respect and dignity they deserve.

One thing Rosalind's enjoys most about her role is having thigs in place and ensuring all customers and carers receive the best care possible, by making sure the customers have continuity of staff and our carers have a work life balance.

In Rosalind's spare time she likes to socialise with her friends, however she also likes having time in sitting with her cat watching documentaries on Netflix. Going out to dinner with Rosalind is easy as she does not have any favourite foods, as her mind changes daily so she is unable to pick just one.

Michelle started in care when she was just 16 years old as a cleaner in a care home and during this time Michelle worked very hard and worked her way upto a senior carer role and obtained an NVQ level 3 in health and social care.

Prior to Michelle joining Bluebird Care she worked with another domicilairy care provider as a care coordinator.

In 2017 we were very lucky that Michelle was ready for that next step and wanted more responsinility with in the care sector and she joined Bluebird in 2017 as Deputy Care Manager and brought alot of knowledge and enthusiasm into the role and into the organisation. Michelle took a short break and during this time she became a mummy to her beautiful daughter. Michelle then started back with us in January 2020 and is now our recruitment and marketing coordinator.

We asked Michelle what she loves so much about the care sector. Michelle said "I enjoy supporting the whole team in the office and introducing new carers into Bluebird Care and watching them develop their skills and confidence, it is just amazing to see. I am very passionate about delivering high standards of care and support and this is very important to me, I really enjoy facing new challenges, although sometimes overwhelming, it's always a good way to learn new things and grow. I love self development and I know Buebird Care are very driven by this as well. I love working with the people in the office, we all get on and know when we all need to have a good laugh and we work well as a team.

Outside of Bluebird Care Michelle has a lovely fiancé and they love spending time with his 3 children and their families and are really enjoying their time with their beauitful little girl. Michelle loves seeing her friends, going out socialising, going on holiday (when she can lol) and having her nails done. Her favoutie colour is purple and loves flowers and butterflies.

One thing people don’t know about Michelle is she used to drive a moped, back when she was 21 – 23, rode it for 2 years she had 2 accidents and decided she needed 4 wheels in her life to keep her safe.
