Our first event of Summer 2017 was our “Summer Spectacular Tour” of Coolings Garden Centre in Knockholt, which took place in the glass house, decorated in theme of The Railway Children, and where many unusual and beautiful summer blooms where displayed in all their glory.
Petunias, geraniums, dahlias, gladioli’s, begonias and hydrangeas were just a few among the colourful groups of flowers developed and grown to the best that they could be.
After the tour everyone was seated in a decorated area where the staff served a delicious cream tea of freshly baked scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam. English and herbal teas were on tap and it was lovely to see everyone relaxed, chatting and leisurely enjoying the beautiful surroundings. There wasn’t a crumb left in sight!
Lots of words of gratitude came from all that attended, voicing their appreciation and looking forward to another Cooling’s get-together in the not-too-distant future…
