Stuart Guild Turns 100

We had a very special birthday this month, Stuart Guild turns 100.

Stuart was in the army, and the branch wanted to be able to celebrate such a monumental birthday alongside him. A small group visited Stuart or Lt. Col Stuart Guild as they refer at his home on the morning of his birthday. The Bluebird Care team attended alongside to send their wishes.

The Regimental Sergeant Major from 105 Regiment handed over his card from the King and it was only right that we turned up for a tasty cake for Stuart to enjoy.

Lt. Col Guild served during the Second World War in Burma where he was wounded. He served as a forward observation officer. Lt Col Guild was awarded the RA medal in 2016 which is a prestigious award only issued to one person each year.

It’s an honour that Bluebird Care Edinburgh are able to care for Stuart and it was a pleasure to be a part of his special day.
