On Saturday 11th June the team at Bluebird Care Coleraine are joining the NI Hospice for one of their 2016 sponsored walks, they will be starting at 11am and walking along the scenic north coast and Whiterocks beach.

The Northern Ireland Hospice cares for those individuals with life limiting illnesses and is divided into two areas, they have both an adult hospice as well as a children’s hospice, which is currently the only one in Northern Ireland. The goal of both is to improve the quality of life for those individuals’ living with these illnesses as well as support their families during this difficult time.

The sponsored walk plays an important part in raising vital funds for the NI Hospice as the organisation relies heavily on donations to deliver their services, with 90% of the care provided being delivered at the individual’s home.

Sue MacLaughlin, director of Bluebird Care Coleraine, commented:

We are delighted to support such an important charity, Northern Ireland Hospice offer an invaluable service to a wide variety of individuals within the community. We hope any money we can raise will support them in delivering the care and support these individuals and their families need.”
