We are supporting the first ever 'Celebrating Homecare' Day

We are honouring our careworkers and recognising their amazing work today (22nd September), by taking part in the first ever ‘Celebrating Homecare’ day, organised by United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA) and the Care Workers’ Charity (CWC).

‘Celebrating Homecare’ has been launched to celebrate and recognise the amazing work that homecarers provide. Every day of the year, homecare workers support people to live safely and well at home, enabling  people to flourish within our communities.

The theme for this year’s inaugural event is ‘made with care’, to celebrate the fantastic relationships that exist between the people who give and receive care, and highlight the many activities they enjoy together.

Sue MacLaughin, Director, commented:

'Our care assistants do an amazing job every day of the year, and they are a lifeline for both our customers and their families.  Over the last 18 months, all of our care assistants have continued to care for our customers in some of the most challenging times we have ever known.  They have shown the upmost commitment to their role and great resilience in providing invaluable care and support.  We should be celebrating the work they do everyday, and it is great that they now have a dedicated day to be recognised and appreciated.'
