Mid & East Antrim Agewell Partnership facilitate scam awareness training with our Ballymena team
On Friday 18th October, PJ from Mid & East Antrim Agewell Partnership (MEAAP) facilitated a SCAMChampion session with our Ballymena team.
The SCAMChampion project is aimed at preventing older people in the Mid & East Antrim area falling victim to scammers. It is delivered by MEAAP in partnership with the PSNI, Mid & East Antrim PCSP, and the Scamwise NI initiative.
During the session PJ talked to our team about scams, covering topics such as:
- Different types of scams
- The impact that scams have on people
- Spotting the signs of a scam
- Reporting a scam
All of our Care Assistants found the training session to be very interesting and informative, learning a lot both professionally and personally. The knowledge they gained will be very useful for them to build awareness about scams with our Customers and also to be vigilant in spotting potential warning signs of scams.
