Bluebird Care supports government's new social care recruitment campaign

Published: 22/02/2019

We are proud to be supporting the government's ‘Every Day Is Different’ campaign to show how rewarding a career in social care can be.

More than 1.45 million people currently work in the social care sector across the UK and according to the government 650,000 more care workers will be needed by 2035 due to our ageing population. Although social care is one of the most rewarding sectors to work in, there is an ongoing challenge of recruiting and retaining care staff within the industry that all providers like ourselves face.

To tackle this challenge, the government’s Department for Health and Social Care has launched a national recruitment campaign to help meet the projected demand in health and social care roles. The ‘Every Day Is Different’ campaign aims to show how rewarding a career in social care can be and will also highlight the opportunities for progression and professional development.

This national campaign will be promoted on the radio and through national PR. As well as this, there is a dedicated website http://www.everydayisdifferent.com to promote the campaign.

Bluebird Care has been working closely with the campaign team to provide insight and information into social care recruitment and has provided case studies and examples that will hopefully appear during the campaign duration. We were also delighted that two individuals from Bluebird Care Greenwich were invited to a photo opportunity at the houses of parliament with the Minister of State of Care Caroline Dineage.

We will be supporting the campaign on our own social media so please share our posts as well as following the campaign on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/everydayisdifferent

Join us and help to show the world how incredible a career in social care can be, by promoting #EveryDayIsDifferent!
