Bluebird Care Mid Essex joined the community event.....
Bluebird Care Mid Essex team joined the annual Chelmsford Carnival parade on Sunday 3rd July 2022. Our mid-Essex care team dressed in their tunic uniforms, and wore matching blue baseball caps, each holding onto bunches of helium balloons ready to give away!
We were very fortunate to have as many of our care team and their children join this joyous event, we were fortunate to also have our wonderful home care assistant, Sharon Trigwell’ and her son ‘Scottie’, who has cerebral palsy, join us. We all started the parade at Tower Gardens in Admirals Park at 1 pm. With so many other community members joining, it was colourful, exciting, and buzzing with positivity, it was an amazing atmosphere.
Our Care Manager Angela Golshan said; It was such a great opportunity to see our care staff have time out to join such a successful community event – we all had a great day!
Whilst waiting for the parade to start, we were able to say hello to our new The Mayor of Chelmsford ‘Councillor John Galley’ – who was such a great sport, with a sign over his head, attached to his wheelchair – ‘The Mayor’
We followed the brass band and other festivalgoers on foot for 1 mile through the beautiful parks and was surrounded by cheering and smiling people - it was such a great atmosphere
Home Care Assistant Sharon Trigwell said; ‘Scottie had a great time and wanted to thank Angela for pushing his wheelchair’
The parade finished at the ‘Friendship Bridge’ on Backnang Square’. We're were met with more community, local charities, and local business stall holders, all big smiles, dancing and joining the fantastic well organised event.
