The Difference I Make - Samira

We are celebrating the dedication and passion of our incredible team of Care Assistants throughout our #MakeADifference campaign and recently spent some time with Care Assistant Samira, who explained a little about why she chose a career in care. Samira works as a Care Assistant in the community and supports our customers throughout the week. She is passionate about her role and makes a tremendous difference every day.

Here is Samira's story:
I first joined Bluebird Care in 2016 and love what I do. Prior to working in care, I started studying to be a nurse as I had always wanted to make a difference, however stopped studying after I had my wonderful child.
I chose to join the Bluebird Care team because it fits really well around my childcare arrangements. I can continue doing what I love whilst also supporting my family.
The Bluebird Care team have been really supportive throughout the past few years and I am so happy that I joined the team. In addition to the lovely atmosphere, the training I receive is excellent and really helps me in my role.
Although there are some customers who are more challenging than others, many greet me with a big smile when I visit and I have made many friends with our customers!
I would always recommend that, for anyone who wants to work in care, it is the people as opposed to the money that come first. This reflects a real passion for care!
