Bluebird Care Greenwich is supporting Carers Week 2016, an annual campaign which takes place from 6-12 June.

Carers Week is supported and sponsored by many organisations, charitable and otherwise, including Carers UK, Age UK, Independent Age, Carers Trust, Macmillan Cancer Support and Sainsbury’s.

This year the focus of the campaign is to help build Carer Friendly Communities where carers will feel supported to look after their family or friends, and are recognised as individuals with needs of their own.

Bluebird Care Greenwich are taking part in the Carers Week 2016 campaign and will be celebrating carers week at Sainsburys in Abbey Wood at Harrow Manor Way on the 9th June. We will be there from 9.30am. We are also having a coffee morning 9am – 11am at our office on the 10th June to raise awareness if this for MacMillian Cancer.

Anoop Sekhon, director of Bluebird Care Greenwich, said:

We are proud to promote Carers Week to help raise awareness of the unpaid carers in our community and to help highlight the challenges that they face day in, day out. We hope that supporting this campaign will provide help to those caring in our local area, and make them aware of the support that is available to them.
Visit the Carers Week website to find out more about the campaign and how you can get involved.
