Meet the team
Bluebird Care Greenwich is led by Anoop Sekhon. Anoop started delivering homecare in Greenwich to help support customers in the area to receive homecare and support while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is Anoop’s absolute goal and the team would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves or for a loved one, or would simply like to talk to someone about the services we provide.
Anoop holds a BSc in Business Information Technology. She has worked with the Youth Service for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets for 6 years as a HR manager.
Her background in working with young people, including those with significant care needs, has inspired her to work with people with a wide range of care needs and to open Bluebird Care (Greenwich) in March 2012. She is committed to ensuring that she provides a high quality service to the individuals she works with and that the exacting standards of Bluebird Care, UKHCA and CQC are satisfied in full.
Bluebird Care is more than a company to me. It is more than a job. It is my life and my passion! I started out as a coordinator and worked my way up to becoming a manager, and it’s been a real journey full of so many emotions good and bad, but every day I fall more in love with what I do.
I pride myself on providing the best possible service we as a team can carry out, and the proof is in the pudding! Caring for people isn’t an errand that you just run, my heart is in this! The team I work with make this “job” so worthwhile. Such kind-hearted, hard working people who share the same values as I do. Bluebird Care really is my family!
I’ve been with BBCG for 2 years in February 2017. I started out as a carer for a couple of nights a week, then I was asked to be Supervisor, so, in August 2017, I became just that. I love my job! The support I get from my Manager/ Director is exceptional, my team are such hard workers, my customers are what makes this job so rewarding plus I get to work with people who really appreciate all we do. I am in the process of studying (again) for an NVQ5 in Leadership and Management which is helping me become more knowledgeable in my role, so I can continue to deliver a truly excellent service.
I’ve been with Bluebird Care for a number of years now and started off as an Apprentice. I was taught many important lessons academically and in life, all thanks to the position I was given. I have experienced things that you just can’t get in a “normal” job, and I am so grateful and thankful that I have embarked on this journey. I have grown so much as a person and now, as a coordinator I have new responsibilities and new lessons to learn. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help guide and teach me all the norms and values that I cherish today!
I recently joined the Bluebird Care team here at Greenwich and I couldn’t be happier! My job, my colleagues, from the carers to the customers, every person I meet teaches me something different and it makes me appreciate everything more and more. I feel like I can bring my skills and assets and add value to this company, but at the same time I am learning so much, and this company can add value to myself too!
My name is Teresa. I joined Bluebird Care (Greenwich) because I wanted to contribute to people’s lives and make them smile. I work as a Carer and have completed my Level 3 in Health and social care thanks to my manager’s support. I love being part of the Bluebird Care (Greenwich) team.
