Donna Jones, Dementia Specialist celebrates her 5 year anniversary!

Donna Jones, Recruitment and Training Liaison and Dementia Specialist has been with us for 5 years!

Donna Jones has been with Bluebird Care for 5 years, starting out as a care assistant, and being promoted to supervisor after a remarkably short time for someone new to care. She has gradually evolved her current roles as Dementia Lead and Recruitment Lead.

Donna is a force of nature, unstoppable in her quest to make all Gloucestershire North staff as passionate as she is about dementia, and person-centred care. She has been instrumental in enabling us to say with confidence that we are dementia specialists.

Donna’s involvement with the movement has so impressed our Proud to Care partners that we have been invited to take part in other, ground-breaking, initiatives. These are still in the planning stage at the moment, and we hope to have good news to give you in a few months’ time.

She reaches out beyond her role, putting herself out to ensure staff are happy and supported in their roles. She wants the best for everyone, staff and customers. Her open, friendly, and calm nature encourages staff to go to her if they have any concerns or worries. She is supportive to the whole office team, as well as the care teams and customers.

It was a good day for all of us when Donna joined the office team.
