Home Care Services from Bluebird Care (Gloucester)

Homecare services in Gloucester, Quedgeley, Brockworth and Hucclecote

In any business, you must strive to be either the cheapest, or the best. I’ve never wanted to be described as the cheapest!

Gareth Powick, Director.

When we first started delivering Domiciliary Care in Gloucester, I could see straight away that there were many challenges facing the Homecare industry, all of which led to a very poor experience for the people who count – the customers, and their families.

Nearly all of these problems were caused by corner-cutting due to under-funding. We have started from the goal of delivering the best-possible service, and in 15 years of constant improvement we have created a service which we believe is second to none.

I would never be so bold as to say we are the best home care agency in Gloucester, but below are the details of our service, to help you make an informed decision in your search for excellent healthcare at home

Our Homecare Teams

We offer the best pay and conditions of any provider of homecare services, and this enables us to select and retain only the best staff. Our carers are carefully selected for their empathy and kindness, as well as their communication skills and work ethic. Our induction program lasts 13 weeks, in which time we will carefully observe and support each new home carer at work, to ensure that they are meeting the high standard we set. After completing initial training, each home carer will go on to choose at least on specialism to study, so that they may further contribute to the performance of the team.

Our Team Specialisms

Each of our local areas is covers by a small, dedicated team of professional carers (usually 4-6 people). Each Carer in your team will have a specialism which they are studying, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to your home every week. Our current specialisms are

Our Customer Service

Visit Times

Because we deal with complex healthcare issues, and will never leave a customer who needs more assistance, some fluctuation in call times is inevitable. We will normally agree a target visit time with you when you first commission home help services from us, unless there are special exceptions. The service that we promise to provide is that we will not deviate by more than 30 minutes from that target time, and that you will always know in advance what the exact time we will arrive will be.

We will always make you aware of changes, and if you need to you will always be able to speak to someone straight away, from the hours of 7 am to 10pm. If you want, care notes can be shared to chosen people as they are written, enabling family members or healthcare professionals to stay informed in real-time. If you need to make any changes to your homecare, someone will be on hand to help make those changes straight away.
