Who is live-in care for?

Couples Care:
Here at Bluebird Care we understand that couples do not want to be separated. This is why we’re able to offer couples care where we can support couples to stay in their own home. We can provide complete flexibility of care and understand that when one person becomes unwell it can be stressful time, without the additional worry of moving the couple into residential care with such limited spaces to do so.
Our care is completely tailored to the individuals meaning that if one partner requires more support than the other, we’re able to ensure that this is included in your care plan, to keep you at home surrounded by your memories, possessions and more importantly each other.

Rehabilitation Care:
We understand that when you or a family member is in hospital the priority is ensuring that they get better and get back to their home environments. For some, this can be a scary concept after spending some time in Hospital. Our live-in team are able to offer rehabilitation care which can be from 4-6 weeks allowing you or a loved one to build confidence to live independently again and gain the confidence needed to do so. Our live-in team will work alongside General Practitioners, Occupational Therapists and District Nurses to ensure that we are able to assist customers for a speedy and safe recovery in the comfort of their own home.

Pet Care:
We understand that pets play a crucial role in a person’s life and that the idea of having to part with a pet can be a stressful experience for both the person and the pet. At Bluebird Care our live-in care service means that you or your loved one can remain at home with the love and companionship of a furry friend. On initial interview our live-in carers will be asked if they’re happy to be in an environment with pets.

Dementia Care:
We understand that when a loved one is diagnosed with Dementia families tend to consider the type of care their loved one is going to need to stay safe. In most cases, families automatically presume that the person will need to leave their home and go into residential care, which does not have to be the case.
We know that many risks associated with Dementia include forgetfulness of things like turning off the oven or ensuring the door is closed, wandering, and not taking medication correctly. With a live-in carer families can have peace of mind that your loved one is safe and being well looked after in the comfort of their own home. For a person living with dementia being surrounded by familiar things and setting can bring great comfort to them. With Live-in care it allows the person to not have to face any additional stress of upheaval, the process is seamless with one of our Live-in carers staying within the home as quickly as two weeks*
*subject to carer availability and care plans being approved and accepted.

Our Live-in care assistance our trained to the highest standards and so family members can feel at ease knowing their loved one is being looked after in the comfort of their own homes. Our live-in carers create a bond with those who they look after and are generally able to identify if the personal they are caring for is unwell and may need medical attention. They are also able to identify when a customer may be in distress and be able to disperse these anxieties before they become overwhelming for the person living with dementia.
