Meet the team

Kate Barry


Kate has been a Director of our care services for almost 10 years, and prior to this had over 10 years’ experience as a Nurse.  Kate has received a number of awards for the services operated, including a Founders Award provided by the Founders of Bluebird Care.  Kate oversees the quality of care, compliance and finance operations within the service.

Paul Barry


Paul focusses on the development of the business, including marketing, new service development, and performance management.  He has also been a Director of the service for almost 10 years.  He is an experienced manager and business developer and has been invited regularly to speak at UK care conferences. 

Tony Brown

Care Service Lead

Tony meets our customer to make sure we are providing the right care at all times, updating our care plans and making sure the times of our visits, or allocation of carers, is right for the customer.  He also supports members of our carer teams in developing their skills and in achieving their care qualifications.  Tony also signs of all new members of our care as their competence in providing care to the Bluebird Care standard.

Ellie Lloyd


Ellie is the member of the team who brings together customer needs and carer availability into one cohesive delivery plan.  She will help with changes to care timings and supports new staff to make sure they get a great introduction to our service and our customers.

Sophie Bishop

Recruitment Lead

Sophie helps to manage our new staff recruitment and induction processes.  She screens new staff, interviews them, and oversees their probationary period to ensure our carers enjoy their time with us, the right skills are being developed and our customers are getting the support they deserve.

Sally Mawji

Training Manager

Sally is responsible for all classroom training for new recruits and for update training for all existing members of the team.  Sally uses a combination of teaching techniques – utilising video, classroom learning, a care mannequin that allows different practical skills to be rehearsed, and a resuscitation dummy so that the team care be fully prepared when supporting our customers.
