Care Manager for Live-in & Chichester Domiciliary (Hourly) Care
I am Nicola and I joined Bluebird Care as a care co-ordinator in 2011. I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to progress within the business and I now have a unique role as Care Manager for both Chichester Domiciliary as well as live-in across the Mid South. Before Bluebird Care, I held roles in agency-side PR and the leading children’s charity Barnardo’s. I am passionate about care and dedicated to supporting our customers to live independently in their own homes.
I am a Schedular based in the Chichester office. I joined Bluebird Care in September 2018 as a Care Assistant. Prior to Bluebird Care, I worked in a Residential hotel; I had a little experience but not much. Luckily Bluebird Care give you all the training you need before you start.
I love the fact that I work within a team with very talented and lovely people who are all very supportive. I enjoy the hard work and the deadlines as I feel it makes you gain your confidence quicker.
This is a very rewarding job; every day is different so it’s definitely a job that keeps you on your toes.
Care Service Specialist
Before I joined Bluebird Care in May 2020 I had spent many years working in as an accounts and customer service advisor for a printers. Whilst I joined without experience in the industry, I had gained a lot of care experience looking after my terminally ill husband. Full training is also given to all new recruits, so I was taught all the professional skills I needed before caring for our customers.
When I originally joined Bluebird Care I was a Care Assistant. I enjoyed being out on the road caring for my customers, I found this so rewarding.
After some experience working out in the field, I was promoted to Care Service Specialist in 2021. I enjoy my present role as I still spend time with new and existing customers.
Home care as is so rewarding and I feel that I can make a difference peoples lives. No two days are the same.
Care Manager - Live-in (Mid-South)
I joined Bluebird Care in March 2022. My role is to make sure our current and new customers receive safe, excellent quality care and support to help them to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes.
We all know how daunting it can be to start a new job, but on my first day the welcome I received was amazing, Bluebird Care have been so supportive, I work alongside an amazing team.
Care Coordinator - Live-in (Mid-South)
I joined the live-in care team (based in Chichester) at Bluebird Care in June 2021. I previously studied Psychology, Sociology and Business A level at College whilst working as a waitress at a Cafe. I enjoy providing customers with continuity of care with the most suited live-in carer, which is important to ensure they feel secure. As well as this, I like to engage with the carers on a daily basis because this builds valuable and trusting relationships. The reason I like working in care is because it is very rewarding providing a service to support vulnerable customers in staying safe and comfortable within their own home.
Care Service Specialist - Live-in (Mid-South)
I joined the live-in team (based in Chichester) in June 2021. I have been in the care industry for around 15 years, but I have also just studied at Brighton University where I completed a degree in Fine art critical practice.
I have a passion for dementia care and environments play a big factor into those who have this condition, so if I can have a small part in helping vulnerable people live safely in their own homes then I am more than happy.
We have an excellent team, we all work amazingly together, and Bluebird Mid-South feels like its own little community.
