Bluebird Care raises £300 for London Free Food Distribution Charity

Camden’s award-winning provider of outstanding care at home, Bluebird Care, has been busy raising money to feed some of our community’s most needy.

Before Christmas, the organisation raised £300 among its staff and partners for Feed Them All – a London charity that distributes free hot meals every day for the borough’s homeless residents.

George Morris, Director of Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead said:

“Around 1 in 5 adults in London experience hunger every day, and that number is set to rise as the cost-of-living increases.

Each year we select a chosen charity to raise funds for. Feed Them All caught our attention last year with their commit to caring for the vulnerable. Our £300 donation will mean that even more meals can be provided to those who struggle with rising food costs each and every day.”

Feed Them All is a London based charity that distributes over 2,000 meals a month free of charge to people who are homeless, isolating, the elderly who are unable to cook for themselves and those experiencing financial, physical and mental difficulties.

The project is 100% volunteer run with no paid staff, which means that every penny donated goes straight towards helping those in need.

Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead’s Community Engagement Manager, Nathan Hartley, added:

“Research carried out by the Homeless Charity, Shelter, showed that almost 1,000 people in the London Borough of Camden are sleeping rough. Furthermore, the Borough has more than 5,000 residents out of work with a large number of children living in out-of-work households.

Feed Them All is working with some of London’s most needy, so we have been only too pleased to support them.”
