Frequently asked questions

How can I be sure that my care assistant will stay the full period of the care visit and carry out all the tasks?

We adopt a thorough and thoughtful methodology to guarantee that your care service matches your specific needs. After each visit, the care assistant documents the activities completed in the care record app that they use to log in and log out of each visit. Family members also have access to the visit notes and can check the clock in and clock out times and review what was completed on each visit.

Is there anything that my care assistant is not able to do?

After we've determined precisely what you require during each visit, we'll adhere to that list. We're unable to administer injections or alter sterile dressings. Additionally, we cannot undertake tasks that could pose a danger to the individual we're providing care to or to the Bluebird Care care assistant. All tasks will be discussed and agreed upon with you beforehand. Any adjustments to the plan can be discussed with your local Bluebird Care team.

What about my personal security?

All Bluebird Care team members undergo a stringent screening process before joining our team, and will have an upto date DBS. Moreover, they will always be in uniform and have an individualized ID card that displays their name and photo.

What happens when the office is closed?

Our usual business hours are from 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, we also provide an emergency service outside these hours, which is staffed from 7am to 10pm. If you require assistance during these times, we can give you the contact details for our out-of-hours service. Rest assured that someone will be available at all times to help you with any care emergencies.

What if I don't like my care package or want to make changes?

Based on our experience, we recognise that people's care requirements can frequently change. Consequently, we acknowledge the importance of continiously reviewing care. Our team conducts regular reviews and welcomes input from immediate family members on effective strategies for delivering quality care to their loved one.

What safeguards do I have?

Bluebird Care is registered with the regulatory authority in each country where we provide services. These authorities establish the basic standards for our operations; nevertheless, we strive to surpass these standards by a considerable degree. Our affiliation with the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA) and the accompanying standards further guide our practices. Moreover, we have obtained Public Liability insurance (£10 million) to ensure our clients' peace of mind.

What tasks will my care assistant carry out?

Together, we establish a comprehensive 'Care Plan' that outlines your exact instructions, becoming the daily work list to follow. You can find a list of the care services we are able to offer by clicking here. Additionally, through our special partnership with pharmacies, we can aid in the administration of your medication. As care requirements change over time, we monitor and update our approach to ensure that the assistance provided remains suitable.
