Help with funding

At Bluebird Care, we recognize the significance of obtaining suitable care and support at home. Our services encompass guidance on identifying the appropriate care and support, exploring service options, and funding your home care. For more information, visit our page on "Arranging your homecare & support."

Self-funding is an alternative if you're able to finance your home care and support with your individual resources or with assistance from family or friends. Bluebird Care has partnered with Care Planning Services to offer reliable advice on financing your care.

NHS Continuing Healthcare may cover your home care expenditures if you have a long-term medical condition necessitating considerable continuing health care at home, and you meet eligibility criteria determined by a health professional or social worker. Your family and you will be wholly involved in the assessment process.

If you have health insurance, verify whether your coverage entitles you to home care and support. You may also contact the local adult social services department for an evaluation of your care and support needs, which entails an assessment of your health, current care, and support measures.

Unpaid carers providing considerable care to someone may also be evaluated. If you meet eligibility criteria, a further appraisal of your financial situation will be conducted to determine how much, if any, you will be charged for home care and support.

Personal budget/direct payments may be available, which give you more freedom to choose and manage your own care and support services. Direct payment options allow individuals to directly employ a personal assistant or to purchase registered care provider services such as Bluebird Care.
