Published: 24/07/2018
Throughout this year’s carers week (11th – 17th June) we have been fundraising for Carers in Bedfordshire.
On Wednesday 13th June we held a cake and craft sale at our office. We had a delicious selection of homemade cakes and treats who were generously donated by our staff and their families. As well as some made crafts and homewares including tote bags, scarves and cushion covers.
We raised a total of £225.96 on the day! Thank you to everyone who came along.
On Sunday 17th June, Gemma one of our care assistants completed a sponsored skydive. Gemma raised over £650 for Carers in Bedfordshire, thank you to everyone who donated and well done to Gemma, especially as this was the first time she had ever been in a plane!
We also ran a sweepstake during the World cup and all of our care team picked a football team out of the hat. Heather Beeston won after picking the winning team – France. Heather has generously offered to donate her winnings to Carer’s in Bedfordshire. Thank you Heather for your generosity.
And we are not finished with our fundraising yet! On Sunday 19th August we are holding an Afternoon Tea at Shortstown village hall.
