On Sunday 1st October, Bluebird Care (Bedford) held a 1940’s themed Afternoon Tea in aid of Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice.
The event was a huge success and we would like to thank everyone who came along, made a donation and supported this fantastic cause.

We were delighted to see so many of you there and were overwhelmed by all your support, kindness and generosity that made Sunday’s event a fantastic and enjoyable afternoon.

Over all Bluebird Care (Bedford) raised £936.30 on Sunday, which will go to Sue Ryder St. Johns Hospice. Combined with the cake sale they held in May this year, we have raised just over £1800 for St Johns Hospice in 2017.

Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice is situated in the village of Moggerhanger in Bedfordshire. Set in its own grounds and surrounded by farmland, it’s a haven of tranquillity while being accessible from nearby Sandy and Bedford.
They care for people who are approaching the end of their lives with progressive conditions. They have 15 beds and provide residential services for people aged 18 and over who have been referred to them by a healthcare professional. Their philosophy is to work holistically across all disciplines, with each patient receiving individualised programmes of care. They do not just care for their patients; they also look after and support their families and carers, offering bereavement help and spiritual care.

The money raised this year will help them provide nursing staff and equipment as well as beds for patients. This is a vital service they offer and we at Bluebird Care (Bedford) are proud to support this amazing cause.
