Bluebird Care in Oxfordshire Celebrates Home Care with the #MakeADifference Campaign

Published: 08/05/2018

We're pleased to launch our new #MakeADifference campaign today, where we'll be raising awareness of the benefits of a career in care over the coming months!

Bluebird Care (Oxford, South & West Oxfordshire) is celebrating its fantastic team of home care assistants, and the difference they make in their local communities every day, as part of a nationwide campaign, which launched on Tuesday 8th May.

The #MakeADifference campaign, spearheaded by Bluebird Care, a national provider of home care in the UK, aims to highlight and raise awareness of domiciliary care as a profession, which enables vulnerable people to receive the care and support they require in the comfort of their own homes. The campaign will also showcase why Bluebird Care care assistants are #ProudtoCareAtHome.

With the rapidly increasing ageing population and rising numbers of people living with complex conditions - that require specialist care - for example Dementia, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease, and more people choosing to opt for care at home, this campaign aims to highlight how patient, kind and compassionate individuals can make a real difference working in domiciliary care.

Joanne Smith, Bluebird Care’s longest-standing care professional in South Oxfordshire – of over 4 years, said:

“I know I am making a difference in my local community, and helping individuals remain in their own home.  Moving can be unsettling, so anything we can do to prevent this should be done. I love spending time with my customers, hearing the stories, seeing the photos. I love being a care professional.”

Robert Mezo, Director of Bluebird Care (Oxford, South & West Oxfordshire) said:

“This is a fantastic campaign which aims to highlight the vital work that home care assistants across the country are providing day in, day out.”
