Meet the Team

Robert Mezo


Bluebird Care West Oxfordshire is led by Robert Mezo. 

Robert started delivering homecare in South Oxfordshire  to help support customers in the area to receive homecare and support while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is Robert’s absolute goal and the team would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves or for a loved one, or would simply like to talk to someone about the services we provide.

Prior to starting Bluebird Care, Robert worked in several industries delivering marketing, project management and market research needs to companies and industries spanned globally from the UK to Canada.

Robert’s responsible for the overall day to day running of the business and his primary responsibilities are to ensure that quality is embedded in everything Bluebird Care delivers whilst developing the business to the advantage of all Oxfordshire communities.

In Robert’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and can occasionally be seen running but it’s usually after his young children!

Charlene Chewings

Registered Care Manager

I have been working for Bluebird Care since January 2016, with my role being a Care Coordinator. Before starting with Bluebird Care I had 6 years’ experience in various care settings.

I’m very passionate about my job, I enjoy the daily challenges this role brings and work well as part of the team. I also provide support to the senior management team. I’m confident within my job role due to the experience and support I have received within Bluebird Care.  I love my job knowing that I contribute to customers being able to stay in their own homes promoting their independence, as well as supporting the team to deliver this service.

Jo Smith

Live-In Care Manager

My career with Bluebird started in 2014. After working in a family run residential care setting where senior roles were taken for the foreseeable future, I wanted an employer who offered progression and that is what I got! My roles have included Carer, Support Supervisor, Supervisor and now Live-in Care Manager

I am the point of contact for our live in service, dealing with queries, concerns and requests.  I enjoy getting to know our customers as individuals and their needs and working with the live in care team to ensure they receive the care that they require to enable them to live in their own homes where they feel comfortable and the care is focused on them.

I thoroughly enjoy my job, it’s more often than not fast paced, challenging and no two days are ever the same.

Jennifer Newton

Care Manager

I started my career as a Nurse at Cirencester Hospital then at Princess Margret Hospital (now Great Western) on the Surgical medical wards then accident and emergency.


Life changed having got married, I was then with three wonderful children.


We had a bakery called, Whiddett’s Bakery in Cirencester famous for our Butter bun, tiffin, Lardie’s, and Selection of breads.


Life changed again and I found myself training nurses and carers into their careers across the country.


This then led to a move to Bluebird Care Lead in West Oxfordshire.


I am fortunate to work with an amazing team of people here at Bluebird care who are passionate and dedicated about providing the highest quality of care as I am.

Alice Cox


My name is Alice and I am a supervisor for the West Oxfordshire team. I have worked with Bluebird Care since 2018 and have progressed up the ladder. I have been interested in the health and social care sector since I was in school and knew it was a career path I wanted to take. I enjoy providing the best care to the customers we see on a daily basis and the smile they have on their face when we have been. Working in the health and social care sector can be hard at times but it is a very rewarding job when you see you have made your customers happy.





Emma Webb

Administrative Officer & Accounts Assistant

Emma is our Administrative Officer and takes care of the daily running of the office, including day to day tasks she is assigned to. Emma is a great support to her colleagues and works well within her team. She’s hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic. No job is too big for her. She has a lot of experience in the care industry which gives her the confidence to fulfil her role.

In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with friends, weekends away and going to motorsport events with her partner.
