A personal viewpoint of the Bluebird Care Induction Training by new Digital Marketing Assistant, Boudicca Woodland
I was signed up for the Bluebird Care Exeter Induction Training as part of my introduction to working in the office.
My first impressions were very positive; from the initial Covid safe health checks to meeting the friendly group of trainers and trainees during my 3 days of training. We discussed our backgrounds which were varied and diverse, but a key theme seemed to be about making a positive difference in people’s lives.
There was a significant amount of useful information given including an introduction to the Hubs and Office staff, additional learning and training options, and a full and detailed introduction for the Bluebird Care Staff App. The training also included health and safety and first aid, so trainees are prepared for a wide variety of situations.
“We take pride in being able to give our care assistants the tools and knowledge to deliver outstanding care in our local community.”
Megan Chilton, Assistant Training Manager
Alongside the Induction Training, I was also lucky enough to shadow a Devon Bluebird carer, Isabel Smith in Ottery. Isabel and her customers all made me feel very welcome and it was a pleasure to have a practical insight into the role of carers and the many ways they can support their customers.
Boudicca Woodland, Digital Marketing Assistant
