Registered Manager

I have been the Registered Care Manager of Bluebird Care (Welwyn & Hatfield) since August 2014 and thoroughly enjoy holding this responsibility.  I want our customers to receive the best service from Bluebird Care and always endeavour to work hard to improve the service that we provide.  Its about the little extras that we can support with that can make such a big difference to peoples lives and providing care with compassion and understanding without taking over peoples lives that supports people to live as independently as they are able to.

In 2004 I was looking to get back into work after having children and applied for a position as a part time care assistant and the rest is history, I immediately understood the difference that working in this sector can make to peoples lives.  Getting to know the little things that people like and listening to their life stories as well as knowing that the care that they receive makes a big difference to their day to day life.

Having worked my way up by holding positions as a supervisor, care co-ordinator, regional care consultant and a deputy manager has ensured that I have the knowledge and skills to be able to lead my team with the knowledge and understanding on how much hard work goes into supporting people in their own home.


Senior Care Coordinator

I joined Bluebird Care around 5 years and you could say I am part of the furniture! I started my career in care quite early and I am really glad I did.

I started as a Carer with Bluebird Care and have completed a number of other different roles within the team including Senior Care, Care Coordinator & Care Supervisor and now Senior Care Coordinator. I'd like to think I can be an example to others that if you want to make a difference in peoples lives and develop your skills/career Bluebird Care will give the support and opportunities you will need to fulfil your goals.

I really enjoy the variety my job brings and love the positive impact we make in the lives of our customers. 


Finance & Resources Supervisor

I graduated from the University of Westminster with a BA (Hons) in Business Management.

I have been part of the Bluebird Care (Welwyn & Hatfield) team for over 4.5 years and in that time, I have undertaken a number of operational back office roles to support the team such as overseeing finance, supporting oversee human resources and undertaking special projects. 

Whilst my role isn’t directly providing care, I still really enjoy hearing from our customers when they call the office and speaking to them over the phone.

The best part of the role for me is our team. We have a really well established team and many of us have been around for years because we genuinely enjoy what we do and the difference in makes in the lives of the people we support and each other.


Customer Care Supervisor

I have worked at Bluebird Care (Welwyn & Hatfield) for over 2 and a half years.

After 25 years of doing a variety of different customer service focused roles I wanted to find a role which I felt was rewarding and made a significant contribution to others and my led me to Bluebird Care.

In my time at Bluebird Care I have undertaken a variety of roles and worked my way up to becoming a Supervisor.

As a Customer Care Supervisor my roles involves me being out and about in the community spending time with the people we support and I really enjoy the satisfaction you get when you are able to play a role in ensuring our customers get the best quality of care possible. I also enjoy meeting new customers and hearing all their wonderful life stories.

I have and still do continue to keep on recommending everyone should work within the care industry as I have found it to be the most rewarding job I have worked in in the whole of my career.



Rupen has over 17 years of leadership experience and has been the Director of Bluebird Care (Welwyn & Hatfield) for over 6 years.
