The 2017 inaugural Bluebird Care Awards ceremony took place on Tuesday 5th September at the historic Fortnum and Mason in London, where regional finalists were invited to a special afternoon tea.

The national winners were chosen by a panel of expert judges in the homecare sector and were presented with the national awards during the afternoon event.  The judges included Mike Padgham, Chairman of the United Kingdom Homecare Association; Colin Angel, Policy Director of the United Kingdom Homecare Association; and David Brindle, Public Services Editor at The Guardian.

Every day of the year, without exception, over 19,000 people represent the Bluebird Care brand delivering over 20,000 care visits. That’s an extraordinary 7 million care visits a year.

These awards recognise those within Bluebird Care who have demonstrated such commitment and loyalty, to ensure the high calibre of care that is synonymous with Bluebird Care is consistently delivered to all our customers. These individuals are the ones that make Bluebird Care stand out in a highly competitive market.

Emily Jones, Registered Manager of Bluebird Care Stafford, was nominated to represent the Midlands region at the Awards in the ‘Registered Manager Of The Year’.

Rick Parekh, Director of Bluebird Care Stafford, said:

We are extremely proud of Emily Jones reaching the national finals. The Bluebird Care Awards are a celebration of the extraordinary passion, professionalism and dedication of our care teams and we are delighted to see Emily recognised for her exemplary contribution to caring for people in their own home.  Well done Emily!
