I cannot praise Bluebird Care St Helens highly enough for the handling of a two-week "night sit" care package for my elderly dad. From my initial contact with them for a quotation, through conversation with a company director, a meeting with the lead supervisor to meet my dad, discuss the care package and carry out a risk assessment, and a follow-up conversation with other company personnel, nothing was too much trouble.

All staff were very professional in their approach and answered all my queries without hesitation, knowledgeable and confidently.
The carers who actually carried out the "night sits" for my dad were exceptional. She talked to him as if they had known each other for a long time, yet with the utmost respect and compassion, and always ensured he was comfortable.
She was also very punctual and polite, and her housekeeping was good. She always briefed me concisely as to how each "night" went.
Overall, I would say that the company has an excellent training program in place for all staff because of their approach because they care, and they are all obviously happy in their roles.

Following a crisis in my mum's home (leaking roof) the Bluebird Care St Helens team were magnificent in arranging to go round to my mum's home and reassure her that things would be fixed (this happened on a Sunday evening). Also arranged to keep her company until a family member could come to her house to be with her. Living over two hours away I could not thank Bluebird Care St Helens enough for "going the extra mile" and providing reassurance.

Thank you to all the carers that helped to look after my late mother during her final days. I am grateful for all your kindness and the support you gave Mum. It was Mum's wish that she could die in her own home. It was because of the help from Bluebird that we as a family were able to fulfil this wish. 

I appreciate it more than I can say. I am very grateful for everything the carers did. They were all very friendly, professional, caring and supportive. They always treated Mum with dignity and respect. The care provided by Bluebird was of the highest standard, reliable and always trustworthy. As a family, we have nothing but praise for the care and support we received. A big thank you to all of the carers who provided care for her.

Exemplary care provided by Bluebird for Mam following discharge from hospital. Every carer was so caring and always went above and beyond to make sure Mam was cared for in the way she wanted. The carers were so professional and friendly and took the time to speak to Mam and the family members and they remembered everyone’s names.
The staff are very well trained and know exactly what they are able to do and not able to do and the reasons behind this.
The team responded within 24 hours to doubling up the carers for each of Mam's four daily calls when it was needed.

I just want to thank you for all of the care and compassion that you have shown to Gran since day 1. Care as a whole was pretty new to us as a family when Bluebird took over as she had always been very independent before.The experience we had with a previous company was not a positive one so I was apprehensive at another change. But that first meeting with you put my mind at ease that Bluebird were going to be different than the last company - and you were! The polar opposite in fact!

I especially want to thank Gran's carers in particular, the regular faces that she saw, for caring for Gran with such dignity and in a way that anyone would wish to be cared for. You have adapted the way you all care for Gran as her Alzheimers progresses and takes more of her away but at the same time you still try to help her feel as if she's as independent as possible and treat her as the person that she was, and still is somewhere inside which she's shows in small glimmers - for that I really can't thank you enough. 

So thank you from the bottom of our hearts - you are wonderful at what you do! I would not hesitate recomending you guys to anyone!

To everyone at the team at Bluebird Care St Helens,

I am writing to express my deepest thanks for the exemplary care that you provided for MGC in the last 3 weeks of her life following her discharge from hospital.

Every carer that came to look after MGC was so caring and always went above and beyond to make sure MGC was cared for in the way she wished to be cared for. The carers were so professional and friendly with MGC and all the family.  Every carer took the time to speak to speak to MGC and the family members and they remembered everyone’s names. One of the carers always made sure MGC’s hair was brushed every morning and he took great pride in ensuring this was done. Although this may seem a very minor thing to somebody else to MGC & the family it meant so much.

It was very evident to the family how well trained the staff were as they knew exactly what they were able to do and not able to do and the reasons behind this.

When MGC’s mobility deteriorated, I can’t thank the team enough for being able to respond within 24 hours to doubling up the carers for two out of her four daily calls so they were able to put MGC into bed for us. Then, a bit later on you were able to respond again within 24 hours when it was needed that all her 4 calls were double up calls.

I wish you all the best for the future and would be very grateful if you could convey my thanks to every carer who came and provided care for MGC and express my gratitude to each and every one of them.

Bluebird Care provides a first-class service.

Our uncertainty about having carers to support us in looking after my parents vanished on the first day of meeting the Bluebird team; we knew that this was the right decision for us.

The carers were kind, thoughtful, courteous and efficient throughout their visits. They engaged with my parents completely with utmost professionalism and great humour which benefited both Mum and Dad, who looked forward to their daily dose of the Bluebirds. We cannot thank you enough for the help and support that you provided and would recommend anyone in a similar position to make that call today.
