On Friday, 23rd March 2018, Oxfordshire Association of Care providers (OACP) hosted Talking Care: Inspiration for All at the Kassam Stadium Conference and Events Centre, Oxford, an event to recognise, celebrate and acknowledge the excellence in care in Adult Social Care in the County.
Attention on the day focussed on the OACP AGM and the Oxfordshire Care Awards 2018. The Awards aim to recognise inspirational individuals – ‘champions’, who consistently, through their daily endeavours and professional working practice whether as a care assistant, support worker, team leader, registered manager or business owner – support and care for the ‘real lives’ in their hands.
A busy agenda included keynote speaker Sarah Rhodes, HR Consultant, at employment experts Citation, presenting on ‘The workforce post-Brexit’. The regulations will impact on all sectors, and adult social care is preparing confidently for the changes.
