Because of the current lockdown measures, customers are not able to spend time away from the home, so Live-in Care Assistant Vanessa made sure her customer could stream her church's Easter service.

Being an active part of her church is extremely important for Maureen, who requires live-in care to provide ongoing support and the current measures mean that a lot of churches have now moved to online services.

It was wonderful that Vanessa was so thoughtful as to help set up my church service. It meant that I really did feel connected with the community that I value so much!

Maureen, Customer

Maureen, who is 86 and lives in central Maidstone, has attended Union Street Methodist Church for the past two years. being part of this community is extremely important for her as not only does it give her much needed social interaction, but it supports her spiritual needs.

When live-in Care Assistant Vanessa heard that the church service was moving online for Easter, she made sure to set up the streaming so that Maureen could participate. This meant a lot to Maureen and made a big difference to her as it meant that she was able to attend the service.

I know how important attending church is for Maureen and when I learnt that her service was being streamed on Easter Sunday, I made sure to find the link and tune in. It was really nice to see the smile that this put on Maureen's face!

Vanessa, Live-in Care Assistant

Without Care Assistant Vanessa setting up the streaming, Maureen would not have been able to attend the service.

Going above and beyond is something that we pride ourselves in and it is simple things like this that our Care Assistants are looking out for at the moment to enable customers to continue enjoying the things that they would usually.

this is very important for her, so the current situation has meant that she has not been able to have this interaction 86, central Maidstone.

For many of our customers, it can be a very lonely time at the moment as they are needing to isolate for number of months. Our customers who have live-in care benefit from their Care Assistant being with them on an ongoing basis, however the isolation measures can still present a challenge as with Maureen's social events. I would like to thank Vanessa for how she went the extra mile for Maureen over Easter. It really did make a big difference!
