Our Community Grant Made A big Difference
We recently went to visit Leybourne Parish Council, who received our last Community Grant and hosted a number of very successful community coffee mornings during the summer.

We recently went to visit Leybourne Parish Council, who received our last Community Grant and hosted a number of very successful community coffee mornings during the summer.
This was a new initiative for the Parish Council and something that they would like to hold regularly. The coffee mornings, which were weekly throughout late July and August, had the aim of helping to combat loneliness as well as bring the community together.
Community Liaison Manager Nathan visited one of the events and was very impressed with the way that they were put on; with a representative from Citizen's Advice being available to answer any questions that people had.
Supporting local community events is what our Community Grant Scheme is all about and it was brilliant to see that the coffee mornings in Leybourne had gone so well!

With around 15-20 people at each event, this is an excellent starting point for the local community and something that they would like to build on in future holiday seasons!
It is community initiatives like this that we are proud to support with our Community Grant Scheme and will be keeping in touch with Leybourne Parish Council to see how future coffee mornings go.
