One service that we provide our customers is companionship and our Care Assistants often help with trips out during this time. What a lovely surprise we had when Peter popped into the office!
Our office is set in some beautiful grounds, so Peter and his Care Assistant took a stroll and popped in to say hello and enjoy a cup of tea!
Getting out and about is extremely important and this presents a challenge to a number of our customers, for whom their health makes this difficult without assistance.
We encourage our team to ask customers what they would like to do during companionship visits and Peter wanted to make the most of the pleasant weather so chose to head out for a stroll. What a lovely surprise it was for him to pop in and enjoyable for Peter as he was able to meet a couple of the team who he had only spoken to on the phone!

Sometimes it can be just the confidence to know that someone is there to support or even just the company that makes all the difference. However, it was a lovely surprise when Peter and his Care Assistant popped in!
In particular, our Care Coordinators who have only really spoken on the phone enjoyed saying hello and 'putting a face to the name'!
