We are continually investing in training here at Bluebird Care Maidstone and have recently purchased a new hospital bed for the office to help our staff become even more prepared for their roles in the community.
We are continually investing in training here at Bluebird Care Maidstone and have recently purchased a new hospital bed for the office to help our staff become even more prepared for their roles in the community.The training bed replaces our previous one and is a lot closer to the type of bed our customers have in their homes. It gives our staff the opportunity to practice the right hoisting technique along with using a slide sheet and turning.
In addition, members of staff experience being hoisted during the induction training which helps them understand more about what it is like for our customers who are hoisted.
Training Manager Nicola commented:
Our training programme is very comprehensive and it is important that the training is all done in the classroom as opposed to using videos or studying online because there is no replacement for practical training.
For those who are new to a caring role, the practical training provided helps build confidence as well as learning the right technique and for those who have previous care experience, the practical training helps correct technique.
I am pleased to have received the delivery of our new bed as we strive to continue delivering a premium service to our customers
