We are delighted to have been joined by Cllr Derek Butler, Mayor of Maidstone recently to award Zulal with our Care Assistant of the year award!

Following our Every Visit Counts Campaign which raised awareness of the importance of the role of Care Assistants in combating loneliness, the award is a great achievement and creates an opportunity to celebrate and recognize excellence in care and highlight the importance of all those in a caring role.

Zulal, who previously ran a local fish and chip shop, started her career in care with over two years ago and was nominated following a survey with customers where she received over 12% of votes from all customers.

Upon receiving the award, she commented:
I can’t believe I was nominated by so many customers! I love what I do and get great satisfaction out of my role. I could not want a better team and customers to work with!

Thank you everyone very much for a wonderful afternoon tea - I had a great time and am delighted to have even met the mayor of Maidstone – all who came because of me!
 Jade, Care Manager explained that:
We have seen Zulal move forward a lot in her career with us since she started and personally, it is a privilege to recognise her love for her role the customers she supports.

Each time Zulal visits into the office, she brings with her a bright, bubbly and warm atmosphere which I know makes a difference to the lives of our customers.

It is because of staff like Zulal that we can continue providing a quality service to our customers. Keep up the good work!
