Bluebird Care were the only homecare provider to be recognised at the award ceremony, which is testament to our ongoing work of differentiating ourselves from other local providers.
In 2011, Sara and I left our NHS jobs with much trepidation but a real passion for ensuring that we could deliver the very best Home Care support in our local communities. We have been amazed by the reaction and the success of the business, and are extremely proud of our staff and grateful for their dedication and service.
Since our Exeter Office was founded, we have delivered over 250,000 hours of support visits to adults who wish to remain living independently at home – a staggering number!
To commemorate this 5 year anniversary, we invited Customers and Staff to a lunchtime party on the 31st March. Everyone enjoyed a traditional ‘birthday tea’ including cheese and pineapple, cocktails sausages and of course the obligatory birthday cake!
The party included face painting, egg and spoon races, and a ‘Name that 5 Year Old Quiz’ where we asked our staff to provide a photo of themselves at 5 years old and everyone had to guess who was who!

We are pleased to announce that the Q4 Winner of our Community Grant was Encounter Theatre & Therapy
We awarded the Community Grant in recognition of the work they did with AgeUK Exeter and the Royal Albert Memorial Museum to bring the ʻLocal Elders - Weather Memories and Connections’ project to elderly residents living across Exeter.
We were inspired by the locally focused, cultural and interactive sessions the company delivered to vulnerable elderly adults at risk of isolation across Exeter.
You can read more about Encounter Theatre & Therapy in a recent guest blog they wrote for us: “Weather Memories & Connections”
