Celebrating 300 Issues of Exeter Living Magazine.

Bluebird Care Exeter were honoured to be represented by an Exeter Care Supervisor and also a Live-in Customer in Exeter Living magazine’s celebratory 300th issue.

The issue asked various Exeter residents lots of questions about Exeter’s past, present and future. Here we’d like to share the extended responses from Megan Cornish, Care Supervisor Exeter.

How long have you lived in Exeter?
I have lived in Exeter my whole life.

What pocket of Exeter do you live in and why is it special?
I live in Whipton, I have everything around me Sainsburys, Aldi and there’s a Lidl being built next door. We have the Pinhoe Hoard just up the road too so when it’s sunny we go over there for the kids to play. We have lovely neighbours that my children adore.

What ‘hidden Exeter’ places do you like?
We’ve been to the Snug and that’s hidden away behind the hairdressers. The Orange Elephant is another hidden place we go to, I’ve just found out what the orange elephant is on the way to Haldon Forest is and it’s a place where children can go and play, see animals and have the best ice cream.

What is really good about the city at the moment?
The new leisure centre in town which I think is really good for everyone.

Exeter-related Memories
I went to Exeter College to do Health and Social care and made the best of friends there; I loved every minute of doing the course.

I have had my two beautiful children here in Exeter at the Women’s Health Centre and I couldn’t thank them enough for what they did for me and how they helped me through both my labours.

Future
What would you like to see more of in the city?

I would like to see less traffic as being a carer it makes life harder when we are stuck in traffic on a time scale to get to customers houses.

Exeter in senses
Sights:
My favourite site is the view from Haldon Forest
Sounds: My favourite sound is when my children are having fun in the garden
Tastes: A roast dinner on a Sunday after I finish work

SHOUT-OUTS!
Who is doing something brilliant in the city?

I would like to big a shout-out to Force Cancer Research as they have just held a big charity bike ride. My friend has worked for Force for a long time and had the pleasure of helping over the course of the day.
