The Support with Confidence scheme provides a list of domiciliary care providers who have been successfully approved and have undergone rigorous background checks.
It is designed to give service users or their representatives the reassurance that these providers only employ Care Workers who are properly trained for their work and who have up to date criminal record checks and clearance.
In addition to being fully compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements, these providers also agree to deliver their care services according to a mandatory code of conduct.
The scheme is joint Trading Standards and Adult Social Care initiative that is growing nationally.
This month, Bluebird Care (Eastbourne & Wealden) received a Support with Confidence Award from East Sussex Council Trading Standards and Adult Services department in recognition of it meeting the stringent accreditation criteria.
Bluebird Care (Eastbourne & Wealden) is only one of a handful of Domiciliary Care providers within East Sussex who have successfully achieved the Support with Confidence award.
