Bluebird Care Eastbourne & Wealden to host Coffee and Cake Day on 9th June

Published: 25/05/2017

As a celebration of Sarah and Michelle completing their personal marathons and to take part in the British Heart Foundation “Wear It, Beat it” campaign, we will be hosting a coffee and cake day on the 9th of June to add to any money raised by Sarah & Michelle during their My Marathon challenge.

Bluebird Care Eastbourne & Wealden have been working hard throughout May to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Care Coordinator Sarah Cummings and Support Coordinator Michelle Reed have been taking part in the My Marathon, aiming to walk 26.2 miles throughout the month of May.

As a celebration of them completing their personal marathons and to take part in the British Heart Foundation “Wear It, Beat it” campaign, we will be hosting a coffee and cake day on the 9th of June to add to any money raised by Sarah & Michelle.

Due to our strict infection control policies our care worker uniforms are mandatory so they are unable to wear red,  so that they can join in on the fun of wearing red to raise awareness, we are giving the care workers red gloves, aprons and British Heart Foundation Badges.

Allison Wright who is one of our senior care worker’s has been trying on the red gloves and aprons today ready for the event.

Come along to see Allison and the rest of the team, and help us reach our £100 goal!

We have collection pots within the office for this important charity, and if you would like to view Sarah or Michelle’s progress or to donate to their My Marathon pages please visit:
