Bluebird Care backs British Heart Foundation

Award winning home care provider, Bluebird Care Cherwell & North Bucks is donating £100 to the Joneses Machu Picchu Challenge – which has been set up to raise valuable funds for the British Heart Foundation.   

Award winning home care provider, Bluebird Care Cherwell & North Bucks is donating £100 to the Joneses Machu Picchu Challenge – which has been set up to raise valuable funds for the British Heart Foundation. 
 
Fundraisers Colin and Tina Jones will be following the Inca Trail, a tough and exhausting climb up to Machu Picchu, Peru. All the money raised by the Challenge will go to vital heart research which will help save lives.
 
Tina, who has had personal experience of close family members suffering with heart disease, said:
 
“It is absolutely fantastic to hear that John and Suzzanne from Bluebird Care have seen and been touched by our story. Their donation and others will make the arduous challenge worth every minute.
 
Heart disease has touched and extended the lives of our family members, so this challenge which looks to be an unforgettable experience, is one we want to achieve so we can give back to the BHF more vital funds into research to help others.”
 
Heart disease is the single biggest killer in the UK, claiming 73,000 lives a year. The British Heart Foundation funds research to ‘keep hearts beating and blood flowing.’ The research they conduct has made a difference and prolonged the lives of some of Tina’s family members.
 
Managing Director of Bluebird Care Cherwell & North Bucks, Suzzanne Elgar who has been a long-time friend of Tina’s, said:
