Sarah's Journey

In acknowledgement of National Career Development Month, we shine a spotlight on Sarah, a Bristol Bluebird whose 13-year career has seen her rise through the ranks from Care Assistant to Care Mentor.

Sarah's professional journey began in a care home, where she developed a strong foundation in care. Eager to broaden her experience, she transitioned to a hospital setting, diversifying her skills and knowledge. A significant turning point occurred a year ago when Sarah joined Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant.

What sets Bluebird Care apart for Sarah is the clear pathway for career progression. Delighted with the opportunities provided, Sarah's hard work and dedication propelled her into the role of Care Service Manager, and more recently, she achieved another milestone by being promoted to her current position as a Care Mentor. Alongside these achievements, Sarah has been acquiring skills as a trainer, completing two “Train The Trainer” courses with Bluebird Care, and can also give “Moving & Handling” and “Medication” training to our Bluebird carers.
